The NightOwl Support Centre team has an outstanding reputation in the areas of operations, marketing and merchandising. Each member of our Support Centre brings a wealth of knowledge and retailing experience that allows us to be one of the most successful convenience retailers in Australia.

Adam Adams - Franchisor

NightOwl Franchisor Adam Adams is focussed on driving the growth of the business through an ambitious store expansion program and providing leadership to his senior management team and franchisees.

Adam and Katrina joined the NightOwl family in 2002 by purchasing their first two NightOwl stores. Since then, they have grown their store portfolio across northern Queensland.

Adam’s active role within the NightOwl franchising system and other business initiatives gives him an overall perspective of what it takes to ensure NightOwl becomes the most convenient, convenience store.

 

Guy Elliott - General Manager

Guy has over 25 years management experience within retail and FMCG companies in Australia.

Prior to joining NightOwl in 2007, Guy has worked in a number of senior management roles for companies such as Islander Board of Industry and Service (IBIS), Australian United Retailers Limited and Foodworks.

As NightOwl General Manager, Guy is responsible for the implementation of the NightOwl strategy and business direction. His hands-on management style allow him to be involved in all aspects of the business.

Guy and the NightOwl management team are focused on providing strong direction and operational support to their franchise community and continuing to grow the NightOwl franchise model across Australia. 

Guy is in the final stages of completing a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration at Griffith University, Queensland.  

 

Grant Peck - Marketing Manager 

Grant joined the NightOwl management team in March 2008 and has over 15 years experience in consumer and retail marketing.

Prior to joining NightOwl, Grant held a number of marketing roles with well-known FMCG brands and franchise companies such as Kimberley Clarke, Sealord and Domino’s in New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.

Grant and his team are responsible for all marketing activities across the NightOwl business including; advertising, consumer marketing, PR & promotions and are the first point of contact with all NightOwl suppliers. His team also supports franchisees in their local store marketing, new store openings and local events.

Grant holds a Bachelor Degree together with a High Diploma in Marketing. 

 

Daniel Zarew - Operations Manager

Daniel joined NightOwl in January 2008, bringing with him over 15 years management experience. 

Prior to becoming a member of the NightOwl management team, Daniel worked in various management roles for companies such as Mobil, Coles, Terry White and BP.  During this time, he was able to achieve a Diploma of Business which has provided the theory behind his operational experience.

Aided with their well rounded retail knowledge, Daniel and his operations team are responsible for providing operational direction and leadership to the franchisee network.  Daniel is also accountable for ensuring compliance to company initiatives and policies and growing the overall success of each NightOwl store.

Joel Douglas – Franchise Sales & Development Manager

Joel joined the NightOwl team in September 2007, bringing with him extensive FMCG operational experience having spent over five years at Coca Cola Amatil.

Joel and his team are responsible for expanding the successful NightOwl franchise model across Australia.  This includes; identification of new sites, portfolio design, fit-out, lease management, negotiations and refurbishments.   Joel is also the first point of contact for potential new franchisees and manages the overall franchisee selection process.

Joel has two Bachelor Degrees in Sports Science and Information Technology.
