More than 1400 young athletes from as far north as Port Douglas down to Rainbow Bay will converge on Emu Park from in the race for the state titles.

NightOwl Marketing Manager Grant Peck said NightOwl is excited to be involved with the state titles, as part of NightOwl’s continuing partnership with Surf Life Saving QLD (SLSQ).

“We are delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile event. Lifesaving volunteers provide a fantastic community service, saving thousands of people a year from drowning on our beaches and providing education on beach safety,” Mr Peck said.

“As an Australian franchise group, we believe in assisting the local community through supporting worthwhile organisations such as SLSQ. We look forward to other events throughout the year.”

As part of this year’s official proceedings, the Pelerman U14 Junior Lifesaver of the Year will also be announced tomorrow.
